Along with the cooler weather in Branson comes a busy calendar month. September is looking to be an event-filled month not only in Branson, but also at The Stone Castle Hotel & Conference Center.

The Stone Castle Hotel & Conference Center is made up of many wonderful employees. There are various positions which are vital to the successful operation of the property. From the housekeepers to the front desk clerks, the maintenance men and the management team, each person plays a vital role.

One of these vital roles is the that of Group Coordinator.

Yesterday I promised to show you more of what our Executive Chef can do.

To the left you'll see a watermelon fruit basket as well as a floral watermelon our chef created. This was part of a salad bar we catered to a military group. The salad bar included a wide variety of vegetables and other goodies to top off their salads. We also provided a variety of cheeses, crackers, and fruits.

What's cooking in our kitchen, you ask?

Some delicious pulled pork barbecue, that's what.

Our Executive Chef, Steve Davenport, has been cooking away all day. We have several catered events this weekend that he's preparing for. And boy does it smell delicious. I was able to sneak down to the kitchen and snap a picture of a pork round at about 325 degrees. It was steaming and looking good!

At our Military Reunion Planners Conference last week, we were able to host one of the dinners. Steve smoked brisket and made some finger-lickin' good ribs.
