On Friday you read about the busy weekend we were going to have. Boy, was it busy. But, it was also a very fun and exciting weekend. As you can see from the pictures, the groups that stayed with us over the weekend had a very good time.
We are gearing up for a very busy weekend here at The Stone Castle Hotel & Conference Center. We have square dancers, retired military personnel, and bus groups on our property. Amidst the dancing, fellowship, and shopping that will be taking place, we also have many individual travelers at our hotel. We are almost a full house this weekend and we could not be happier!
The Stone Castle's hot breakfast buffet is currently being revamped. Not only do we have homemade biscuits delivered each morning, but we also have real scrambled eggs (no powdered stuff here), biscuits and sausage gravy, sausage patties, pancakes, cold cereals, and toast available each day of the week for guests to enjoy.
As the trees begin to change in Branson, Silver Dollar City welcomes its National Harvest Festival which runs now until October 29. This is a wonderful festival for the entire family to enjoy. Not only will you see beautiful fall foliage and enjoy Silver Dollar City's roller coasters, but you will also enjoy 125 demonstrating artisans, all-new shows, and a variety of fall specialty foods.
This Sunday, September 18, Branson will host its second K-Swiss Ironman 70.3 Branson Triathlon. This event will consist of swimming in Table Rock Lake, biking along the Ozark Mountain Highroad, and running along Lake Taneycomo. Triathletes from all around the world will be joining together to compete in this race.
If you're a family member of one of the triathletes or are coming to watch the competition, we have a special deal for you!
For The Stone Castle Hotel, the very first impression most guests receive is that of the front desk clerks. First impressions are vital in the hospitality industry; it is the first impression that can sometimes make or break a guest's hotel stay. That is why the front desk manager, Irma Toles, not only trains the front desk in various procedures, but also in customer service.
"I train the front desk clerks not only to process reservations, check-in and check-out guests, but to give the upmost service that will make a guest [feel] welcome and return," said Irma.
As we remember the events of that fateful day ten years ago, we salute those who suffered, sacrificed, and who have fought for our freedom since that day. There are some who have lost their lives, given their lives up for another, yet some who are still living with images forever burned in their minds. For those families who have suffered and lost a loved one, we salute you.
Yesterday we said goodbye to an Adult Senior Retreat held here at our hotel. This is a church group that comes to our hotel several times each year and they always have a grand time. They bring their senior adults, adults, and ministers for conferences in Branson. The groups that come to our hotel are always very lively and enjoy a wonderful stay.
