Easy Eating in our Neighborhood

For us, one of the benefits of a town hosting so many visitors is that we too get to enjoy the many great restaurants in Branson. And since we know that there's more to the day than a great breakfast at the Stone Castle Hotel, from time to time we'll highlight some of the restaurants we enjoy.

First up, a few of our go-to places in our neighborhood. We are really fortunate to have so many so close, and although sometimes it makes choosing a challenge it's one we are up to!

Less than a mile after you turn right from the Castle on Green Mountain Drive, Florentino's Ristorante Italiano provides a wide variety of tasty Italian food. The first time we ate there we had their soup and salad combo with bread and olive oil and three of us ate the entire family bowl of Zuppa Toscano and asked for seconds, it was that good! And on a following day we were pleasantly surprised to learn they have good gluten-free pasta for the gluten intolerant in our group, expanding our reataurant choices by providing something any of us can enjoy.

For a quick lunch, a bite before the show or for whenever you are hungry, Panera Bread is only a bit further up Green Mountain Drive, still less than a mile away from the Castle. We don't have to tell you about their food choices, and whether it's soup, salad or sandwich, we always find something satisfying.

If you are hankering for a taste of the South, take a short walk down our driveway (there's also a separate walkway) to the Wheelhouse Catfish & Wings. They too have a wide selection of choices, and just to keep things interesting, they also feature food from India. But whether you want catfish, chicken wings, steaks or burgers, or maybe Chicken Burani or Chana Masala, be sure to leave room for dessert!

Speaking of dessert, or for any time you want a refreshing snack, CherryBerry Yogurt is just a few steps away. With their wide selection --yogurts, sorbets, gelatos and custards, and so many toppings you won't be able to choose just one, CherryBerry treats hit the spot - day or night!

Oh, and don't forget, The Wheelhouse also has the Shipwreck Sports Bar for your relaxation before turning in or to have a glass with dinner, as they have a full complement of beer, wine, house specialties (just try those Margaritas!) and bar drinks. And since it's just across the driveways from the Castle, you don't have to drive to get safely back to your comfortable bed!
