The Stone Castle Hotel & Conference Center received the following letter this morning from a recent military reunion planner:
"Dear Mr. Modglin,
On behalf of the members of the 589th Engineer Battalion Association (Vietnam) I want to thank you and the Hotel's staff for the service and hospitality during our reunion, September 13-16, 2012.
This was the fourth reunion for this group of Army Engineers who served with the 589th Engineer Battalion and attached units in Vietnam during the period 1967 through 1971. We had a wonderful time renewing old friendships and making new ones, an experience that was enhanced by the friendliness, attentiveness and professionalism of you and your staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the meeting rooms provided an intimate gathering place for us to conduct business and relive old memories.
The facility is very conducive to our planned events and located for easy access to the different Branson Area activities and attractions. At our Business Meeting, the attending members voted overwhelmingly to return to Branson and your facility in particular for the Fifth Reunion next year.
Please extend our most sincere "Thank You" to your entire staff for their professionalism, hospitality and helpfulness. From check in to check out, the staff exceeded expectations to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Stone Castle Hotel and Conference Center. Their support was truly appreciated by our members, spouses and guests. We would especially like to thank Marlene, Rachael, Mary Ann and Kyle for all their helps. You have assembled an outstanding team.
Feel free to contact me or any of the other Association Officers or members if we can ever be of service.
Very Truly Yours,
Perry Blanchfield, President
589th Engineer Battalion Association (Vietnam)"
