This morning our Director of Sales received the following feedback about a guest's recent stay:

"We had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect, warm days-cool nights. The Stone Castle Hotel was just great... away from the crowds, and the service in the breakfast room was awesome. Especially Maryann who was there bright and early every day cheerfully attending to our every need..."

The following letter was received by our Director of Sales yesterday. We are thankful for the sincere and heartfelt letter sent by this military association's president. 

"Dear Mr. Modglin,

On behalf of the members of the 589th Engineer Battalion Association (Vietnam) I want to thank you and the Hotel Staff for the service and hospitality during our reunion, September 15-18, 2011. 

We are gearing up for a very busy weekend here at The Stone Castle Hotel & Conference Center. We have square dancers, retired military personnel, and bus groups on our property. Amidst the dancing, fellowship, and shopping that will be taking place, we also have many individual travelers at our hotel. We are almost a full house this weekend and we could not be happier!

Now, doesn't this lovely gazebo look like the perfect place to spend your Labor Day weekend? We sure think so.

How good of a deal are we running this weekend?

Yesterday I promised to show you more of what our Executive Chef can do.

To the left you'll see a watermelon fruit basket as well as a floral watermelon our chef created. This was part of a salad bar we catered to a military group. The salad bar included a wide variety of vegetables and other goodies to top off their salads. We also provided a variety of cheeses, crackers, and fruits.

Family reunions. When you hear that phrase, many things probably come to your mind. I know many different pictures show in my mind when I think of my family's reunions. Does your family have a reunion? If so, what does it consist of? Do you bar-b-que, have a more formal meal, or gather at a family member's home?

Yesterday we had the wonderful opportunity to have a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. The ceremony took place at our newly refinished gazebo, while the reception followed in our beautiful Drawbridge room. Our Executive Chef made a delicious dinner of Roasted Chicken Breast Marsala, Rosemary New Potatoes, Green Beans Almandine, The Stone Castle House Salad, and dinner rolls.
